NEW – Daily Updates
what is it?
We are going to start updating daily about what we did throughout that same day and what you should expect on the update coming up! So get ready for all the information we can give you!
So what happened today?
today I am working on one of the 0.0.7.x updates, this one includes a LOT of trigonometry… ugh… it was a nightmare… but!!! it will give us the option to include sloped platforms for the game which every mob can walk on, this may seem simplistic… but boy is that hard to implement, well at least since I never actually tried to do that before. (you can see a pic on twitter )
what’s up next?
coming right up, is a new article for our game about version 0.0.6 R1 for our website, and right after, we will start working (well already did) on update 0.0.7.X ! this update includes a lot of changes and actually makes the game somewhat-playable. I am really excited to picture our indie game growing up so fast… it feels like just yesterday I was debugging the character walking speed and fixing up our timestep… alright enough with the nerdy talk! the game is getting pretty awesome, and I am hoping version 0.0.8 or 0.0.9 will be about us just adding skills and effects and before the 0.1.0 (pre [closed] alpha release) we will include some quests to go along with it.

This logo will be used in the intro to our new game!
We are also planning on collaborating with Cred-Pr1me in the future for more art work for Project DG
We are going to have 4 classes in the game, which will be saved as a secret for now (shushhh!…), we might leak some info soon… perhaps to here… or to our twitter or Facebook! so be sure to follow us! There will also be 3 different races, each has their own city and unique Biome style.
As for now.. we are working on the first class just for testing purposes, and right after, we will work on menus and inventory and other stuff like that. We have our artists working on the first biome right now, and on character design. We are currently hiring new artists too, which will help out with more of the monster and item design. I’ve got to say tho.. just jumping around the map, without any combat, and casting the one skill available right now… its pretty fun 😀 we are finishing camera fluidity today and will update tomorrow! expect a new dev log tomorrow!
So, after trying out the android market, we have seen that it had basically been taken over by the “Big Companies” and simply gave up on the older project after publishing, however it will remain published on there. However, we are taking that older Android Game project as good experience as it taught as a lot about game planning and what to do and expect.
Now, for the new game, we decided to use LWJGL as the basic tool for our development and build a “game engine” around it for our convenience. The target of our game is Windows OS, Mac OS, and Linux OS. We are again using java in this programming as this is the programming language we are most comfortable with. We will be re-using the sprites from the old game just for place holders until we get the new sprites ready.
The new game will be a 2D Side-Scroller RPG. This kind of game had been one of my dreams, personally, and what got me into programming. for the longest time, I dreamed of making a game like this, but only now do I find myself with enough tools in my toolbox to tackle this kind of job.
We will update this website with every major update we do to the new game project.
Another update, we have a new logo coming up, we will upload and change our logo as soon as it comes out and share it with all of you! We think you’ll love it!
